On Monday 11 March 2013 Agco European Harvesting Operations Breganze, AGCO Corporation's excellence centre for the production of combine harvesters in the EAME region, inaugurated AgriDome
The attractive building dedicated to visitors and clients for an exclusive and memorable visitor experience is set in Breganze
Breganze, 11 March 2013. The project, strongly advocated and supported by Francesco Quaranta, Vice President and General Manager at Harvesting AGCO EAME and Managing Director of Laverda S.p.A., was completed in record time. Launched in March 2012, today AgriDome is a modern glass and steel building with a soaring and ultramodern design that harmoniously blends in with the old rural building located in the area occupied by the plant in Breganze.
The architectural concept, developed on the idea of a theatre, aimed at creating a sort of showcase/stage well visible from the outside. This led to the use of see-through walls made with extra bright glass and the whole portico of the old farmhouse incorporated in the new structure, almost acting as an indoor wing showing the activities carried out at AgriDome.
A perfect combination of past and future, AgriDome expresses the Group's inclination towards a progress that is aware of the strength of its origins and is the ideal setting for large-scale meetings and events, as well as to host talks on a smaller, more personal scale, with a small amount of attendants.
“It is important that our clients have the chance to try an exclusive visitor experience, by being engaged first-hand and see the care and quality we put into everything down to the smallest details, from manufacturing the combine harvesters to welcoming our guests. Now, with a high-level structure such as AgriDome, this is possible,” said Quaranta.
The complex is set in an area covering 1550 square metres, 1250 of which are occupied by the new 10.5 metre high building, and can easily accommodate up to 500 people.
Fitted with advanced multimedia technology managed with a home automation system, AgriDome welcomes guests by presenting itself immediately as a cutting-edge structure that can offer hospitality with a refined touch.
The main auditorium, which also serves as a showroom, occupies a surface of over 1100 square meters and has a seating capacity of 400 people comfortably arranged in lines.
Three large screens to project images and film clips, either simultaneously or separately, controlled with iPads , that also manage the room's lighting and sound system, along with closing and opening the curtains in relation to the sunlight, a large stage for the speakers, a reception desk with cloakroom service, a restaurant to satisfy the most refined palates: it all contributes to making visitors feel comfortable, allowing them to experience the visit in Breganze as a privileged moment and a truly branded experience.
Indeed at AgriDome, thanks to a calendar of visits divided into 2-week long groups and intended exclusively for one of the four brands of combine harvesters made in Breganze, the event can be fully customised according to the visitors' typology.
This way every client will have the possibility to take a look at the models presented in their reference brand in the showroom at their own leisure and in full comfort, asking for information and details from the experts accompanying them, who are also specifically associated with the brand, as well as with the market of origin and the audience in question.
The highlight of the visitor experience is the guided tour inside the manufacturing site, which will then allow visitors to gather detailed information regarding the processes and individual manufacturing stages, verifying themselves how the combine harvesters are made in Breganze.
Along with the main auditorium, AgriDome has two training rooms located on the first floor and fitted with all the equipment required to hold training courses and meetings, with an overall seating capacity of 100 people in the room.
The restoration of the old equipment and first agricultural machines is currently being completed, and will be featured in the museum on the ground floor in the old farmhouse integrated into the modern building.
“Thanks to AgriDome, we expect a considerable increase in the amount of visitors. If in the past we reported 1,800/2,000 people a year on average, in the short term we will reach 3,000/3,500,” said Quaranta.
